Effective 26 August 2026
BeeSync accounts are created by schools, not by users signing up. That changes how deletion works, so this page sets out both routes plainly.
Your school administrator can remove your account from their school immediately, from the BeeSync portal. If you only have one school, that ends your access straight away. This is almost always faster than writing to us, because they can act without verifying who you are.
Email support@beesync.app from the address on your BeeSync account, with the subject Delete my account, and tell us:
If your account uses a BeeSync username rather than an email address, include the username and send the request from any address you can be reached at — we will confirm with your school before acting.
We acknowledge requests within 7 days and complete them within 30 days.
| Deleted | Kept, and why |
|---|---|
| Your sign-in credentials and the ability to access BeeSync. | Attendance and academic records the school is required to keep as part of its own records. These belong to the school, not to us. |
| Your profile: name, photo, contact details, language preference. | Messages you sent to staff, where deleting one side would leave the conversation unreadable. These can be anonymised on request. |
| Your device push tokens and notification preferences. | Payment records the school must retain for its own accounting. |
| Your links to children and to schools. | A short-lived internal backup copy, overwritten on the ordinary backup cycle. |
One BeeSync account can be linked to several schools. Removing you from one school leaves the others untouched. Tell us if you want the account removed everywhere, and we will do that instead.
If you are a school administrator closing your BeeSync account, write to support@beesync.app from your administrator address. We will confirm in writing before anything is deleted, and follow the timetable in the Terms — including your opportunity to export everything first.
